I love people and love doing this work. Experience has shown me that individuals and couples can create better lives for themselves when they feel safe to explore their feelings. With that in mind, I aim to create a caring and collaborative relationship with each client that becomes the bedrock for transformation. Using an eclectic, evidence-based approach, I work with individual adults, couples, and teens. My work is informed by training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT), ecotherapy, humanistic psychology, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

In addition to my private-practice work, I have experience as a psychotherapist at a community mental health organization and at a residential treatment center for children and adolescents. I also routinely take part in continuing education so that my view of what is possible in therapy is constantly evolving. Witnessing the very personal impact of climate change on my clients, I joined the Climate Psychology Alliance North America (CPA-NA) and am involved in ongoing professional training around that issue.

I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling from the University of Massachusetts and my bachelor’s degree from Barnard College of Columbia University, where I majored in English. I also have a law degree from George Mason University in Virginia.
